Despite being a natural fiber, cotton has a large environmental footprint. Cotton production uses a great deal of water and a fair amount of chemicals in case of the non-organic production.
That’s why we decided to craft our crochet dolls with recycled cotton. More sustainable and eco-friendly than its conventional counterpart, it reduces the need to create more cotton and reduces the cotton waste in landfills, as well as needing 80% less water to produce.
Crochet dolls are filled with sinthetic fibers, made in Spain, which carries the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 for product class 1 (products for babies and with the strictest requirements and limit values).
Synthetic toy stuffing is popular for many reasons including effortless machine washability, quick drying, durability, resilience, and resistance to mold and mildew. The greatest concern regarding synthetic toy stuffing is its composition which is entirely petroleum-based, otherwise plastic.… That’s why we are still investigating for a more sustainable alternative.

Risography posters are printed on Cocoon Offset paper 250g. It is PCF (Process Chlorine Free) garantied.
The tags are printed on Favini Crush paper. This paper is made with 40% of post-consumer recycled fibre and cellulose from well managed forests, and 15% of corn residues.
Riso printing is a printing method much more respectfull for the environment than many others.
Riso printers produce very little waste. The stenciling process used to print documents creates minimal paper waste, and any leftover ink is recycled back into the printer for use on future prints. Risograph printers are very energy-efficient: the soy-based inks are transfered on paper without using heat or chemical products.
The Wonkies posters are printed in Barcelona by Do The Print.
Wooden pins are laser-cut in Barcelona at FabCafe.
The material and the fabrication process is 20 times less costly in energy compared to the fabrication of enamel pins.
Wooden objects are hand-painted with a water based enamel, non-damaging for people and the environment. It doesn’t contains aromatic solvents or heavy metals.
It complies with the European standard NF EN 71-3 which certifies that it’s suitable for use on toys.
